QUESTION

I am new to HK and just rented a place in Mid-levels.

How do I shop for groceries that doesn't break my bank account?

Do I buy household cleaning products at the same shops or on different shops?

I don't have a car so might need to order online or ask for home delivery.

Any advice would be welcomed!

It's all so confusing ...

ON THE GROUND

The secret is knowing where to buy what and get a handle on prices.

Purchase heavy items online for home delivery.

Make the lanes around Gage street off Lyndhurst Terrace a routine for fresh produce and find your favorite friendly local vendors.

There are 3 or 4 grocery shops in the Central lanes (Li Yuen Street West) with great prices on branded items like mayonnaise, peanut butter, rice, flour, tuna, cleaning products and shampoo.

These pics are from last week.

Super deals in there.
